Ivy Apartment sleeps up to two adults and two children, with a double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a shower room and a secure courtyard. The holiday rental is dog and family friendly, centrally located in Killyleagh and ideal for both short breaks and longer stays. 

The location is ideal for guests attending weddings and events at Dufferin Coaching Inn (50 metres away), Tullyveery House or Finnebrogue Woods (2 miles away), or as a base for exploring the many areas of outstanding natural beauty in the Strangford and Newry, Mourne and Down area.

We offer flexible check-in wherever possible and are happy to answer any questions on your trip or the local area before or during your stay.

Bedroom

The bedroom comfortably accommodates two adults in a double bed with a Dormeo memory foam mattress, plus two children on the large daybed/sofa, which converts into two full-size singles. There is also ample wardrobe and drawer storage, a flat-screen TV with Amazon Fire for streaming, a HEPA air purifier and free Wi-Fi throughout.

The two original sash windows face the street and have both blackout blinds and insulated blackout curtains, so you can keep the sunlight out until you're ready to start the day.

The low VOC laminate floors in this Victorian property are characterfully “undulating” in places - part of the charm of an 1800s house.

Family Bedroom: Double bed - 2 adults, plus a daybed - two single kids’ beds, flat screen TV, HEPA Air purifier, blackout curtains and blinds, storage, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, stair safety gate, Wi-Fi.

Fully-equipped kitchen

Fully refurbished in 2022, the kitchen is well equipped for self-catering with everything you need for a home-from-home stay. A dining table seats four comfortably. Appliances include a Smeg electric oven, ceramic hob with extractor, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, airfryer, kettle and toaster. Highchair available.

The kitchen has two exits — a front door onto the High Street and a back door to the courtyard.

Please note: both entrances have steps and the internal stairs are steep and quite narrow. The property is not suitable for wheelchair users and may be challenging for people with mobility issues.

Shower room

The newly refurbished shower room features a large walk-in shower with dual shower heads, Italian ceramic wall and floor tiles with a low-slip finish, WC and basin. Towels and toiletries are provided.

Secure Dog-Friendly Courtyard

The rear courtyard is quiet and secure — ideal for dogs and children. A large outdoor dining table seats six, with a barbecue on hand for al fresco cooking.

In late summer, guests can pick fresh apricots and plums straight from the trees.
